Sapkowski has created a realistically grim and gritty world for his explorers to explore. The cast, headlined by the monster-slaying witcher Geralt of Rivia, is wonderful. A plethora of delightfully odd and lovable people who take on the challenges of living in a world at war. Geralt has monsters to slay and Ciri, the child of prophecy, to protect. I can't say enough about how complex and developed Geralt is. He could pass as an off-the-clock philosopher and is constantly weighing in on the people and world around him in a deceptively pensive manner. Don't be fooled by his elite physical traits and penchant for killing; Geralt's most unique and exciting feature is most certainly his mind. The only bad thing I can even say about him is that he's absolutely whipped by Yennefer. Aiden read this fucking series.
